Play.co.uk has GT5 set as releasing for the 24th of September - any grounds for this? Incidentally it's listed on the same date as Modnation Racers.

I say it will be one or two weeks before Halo.

It would be great to see those titles go head to head even though in a different genre and on different consoles.

no date has been announced for GT5 or Modnation Racers. We really have little clue when either game will come out.

Based on an educated guess, Modnation racers should be out before June is over (supposed spring release), while GT5 will either be a Oct/Nov release or not until Feb 2011.
