Forums - Sony Discussion - Questions About Europe(Germany)

Im moving to germany this year because my Dad got offered a Job there and i was wondering if anyone had an Answer to these Questions

1. Will my Ps3 work in Germany.
2. I have a 1080p 32" Sony Bravia Tv, Will that work or will i need a different power supply or something?
3. Will i have to make a New PSN account to make Sony send me stuff(Deals, Betas) for Europe not Australia.

And if My ps3/TV doesnt work in Germany is there anyway to make it work? Try to make it as Simple as possible im only 15 and not very good at Electrics.
Thanks

afaik you have different power plugs in australia, but that's not much of a problem, because you have the same voltages/frequencies

that means you only need new power cables (so called "Kaltgeräte-Kabel") for the PS3/TV
this: http://www.amazon.de/Kaltgeräte-Netzkabel-Meter-Monitor-31-profitec®/dp/B000NZK3MC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1266656535&sr=8-1

(1) definitely ps3 is region free wherever you go either its ntsc or pal your ps3 will definitely work.as power supply is standard will work everywhere
(2) i dont have much information on this
(3) you can use your same psn a/c in germany as i m living in middle east ( which is coming under europe network) i have created one a/c in USA but actually i m not living there but i can use american account for downloading games that is not available on europe psn ( like resident evil 2,3)

1. I think your PS3 will work in the Vaterland, the only thing you just might need is maybe a new power cable (if they use a diffrent from what you've got.)
2. Your TV should work playing PS3 on atleast, and any other of your consoles.
3.No, but i'd recomend making a European account, but you can use your Australian account as your main.

1) There should not be any problems at all.
2) For the TV and the PS3 I would recommend such a little power transformator/adaptor. In Australia the voltage is generally 10V less than in most of mainland Europe.
3) Everything IP-locked will certainly not work with your Australian account. Probably it's the best idea to create a new European account. But then, don't create a German one because only little content is made available there since youth protection laws are so strict. Go for an Austrian account to get all the content.
