Based on OP's rules I'd say you are a mass collector (instead of classy = first prints, editions, unedited, low value, etc.) and actually only someone who plays a lot and keeps the games. That's not really collecting. Well, it is but not in the sense of how people collect something when it is their hobby or life-time dedication. And selling part of a collection without owning it at least twice...
I prefer having no stories. Stories end, games do not. You can play chess over and over again (if you can stand the repetitiveness). If I want to experience stories, there's movies, books, other literature, and even audio. When I play a videoGAME I want to PLAY and not control an interactive story that has mostly a scripted outcome anyways. Videogames with a story but well defined...
This west-east stuff will never end.. and it will always be between US and Russia although they are both not really the ideal examples for what they think they stand for anymore. Europe is still the best place to do the battles on so the big boys don't get hurt. Europe may be involved in "discussions" but they are not part of the "mine is bigger than yours" attitude.
