What new inputs could the DualShock 5 add?

in Sony Discussion 1 day ago

One issue nobody has brought up is you can't jump and aim at the same time in FPS. You aim with your right thumb and the jump button is usually always X which you also uses with with your right thumb. 1 one way to solve this is put 2 buttons under the controller which can be used for jump. The problem with this it's already complicated using a controller, most games requires the player to know how...

Sony is focusing on Hard-Core Gamers for PS5

in Sony Discussion on 03 July 2019

shikamaru317 said: jonathanalis said: Oh no, 500$ PS5? I'd say $500 PS5 was a given already based on what we know of the specs. We have a Navi GPU and Ryzen 2 CPU in a single chipset. The 2 Navi Desktop GPU's are $380 and $450 at retail right now while the cheapest 8 core Ryzen 2 desktop CPU is going to be $330 at release. Even taking into account price drops over the next...

Goodby Teraflop (PS5 and Xbox Scarlet probably will not contest on Teraflop number anymore) expect 8 to 9 teraflop for PS5 and Scarlet

in Gaming Discussion on 03 July 2019

I just wanna point out that pastebin "leak" is fake which Hollygamer posted. It's just a copy & paste from what the reddit user ruthenicCookie said. He was the first to say Sony would have a small PS5 reveal mid 2019, he also was the first to say Sony wouldn't be at E3 this year. And he said a bunch of stuff about VR2 and PS5 being a monster and targeting $500 price point. I think the...

Sony is focusing on Hard-Core Gamers for PS5

in Sony Discussion on 30 June 2019

I read that WSJ article, for some reason I can't access it again, a paywall appears. The article never mention anything about time-exclusive it's just pushsquare that assumes this. The article was about Sony going after the hardcore gamers with the PS5 and focusing on games from big publishers, indie games is just less important. With this information I think PS5 will be more expensive than...

Would you rather Bioware remain with EA for a lot of platforms, or be bought by a console maker and fixed, but on only one system

The most advanced technological games will have animation/visual quality on par with this in the 9th gen! Those are the first pictures you posted that I actually like graphically. Do you think a gpu between geforce 2060-2070 performance can do graphics like...

"Stadia players will only be able to play with other Stadia players", Bungie said in an FAQ published this week. Hah I knew it, why should Steam/epic or Sony/microsoft support cross-play with google stadia, it's a lot better for them to cut off google and let the service die from having no players. This is why google should have made a big launch with exclusive games and not a beta launch,...

New AMD GPUs to launch July 7th.

in PC Discussion on 16 June 2019

Pemalite said: Trumpstyle said: 50-60 CU's? hehe, rumor has it the high end Navi will have 80CU with HBM memory and it will use tsmc 7nm+, will have ray tracing hardware too. HBM and 7nm+ should save some power and AMD can just lower the clock slightly if needed. Also I don't think AMD will call the card Navi, look at their roadmap, it says Navi 2019 and next-gen 2020 with 7nm+....

Guys they will basically have the exact same spec, the options for Sony/microsoft is limited. I expect both to have zen2 8 core, 16 thread cpu clocked at 2,6ghz, a cut-down navi 10, 36CU clocked at 1,6ghz (7,4 Teraflops), 1TB SSD and 256-bit bus with 12GB+ Vram and 448 GB/s memory bandwidth, both consoles will have hardware ray-tracing and they will be priced at $500. Xbox lockhart will be...

MS reveal of ballpark of Scarlett

But 2x the XBox One X is very do-able, 2x the CPU, 2 + 2 =...

Random_Matt said: Having decided to look into the cards the more I have decided they are a little shit. The power draw is the interesting one, if the XT is drawing 225W at 40 CU, what is it going to be at lets say 50 or 60? A higher spec card could hit over 300W, and at a lower power draw would probably match it with a 1660 TI. Another thing is these boost clocks or was it opportunistic...

New AMD GPUs to launch July 7th.

in PC Discussion on 12 June 2019

If I'm understanding Navi correctly you can only do 20/40/60/80 Compute units Gpus. Each shader engine in Navi has 20 CU's that is why you can only do 20/40/60 gpus. Navi 10 has 2 shader engines giving 40 Compute units and you can only disable 2/4/6/8 CU in cut-down versions. So Navi Rx 5700 xt has 40CU's and Rx 5700 36CU's, you can't disable for example 3 CU's or 7 CU's.So the low-end navi...

No way they could offer a mad build like that sub $1k. It's 100% CPU. Also, it seems to have twelve memory modules surrounding a ~300 mm2 chip (assuming it's three on each side), so I'm thinking...
