The Secret of Console War: Wii Exposed

in Gaming Discussion on 01 May 2008

Articles like this never fail to crack me up. Shovelware is a natural result of having the largest chunk of the market. The Atari 2600, NES, SNES, PS1 and PS2 all had a large percentage of games that were utter crap. I've been around long enough to know that shovelware is more an indication of success than it is a portent of doom. Truth be told, all systems have more crap games than good...

Is GTA IV being hailed because its not Nintendo

in Gaming Discussion on 30 April 2008

I doubt it's an anti-Nintendo conspiracy. Though it wouldn't suprise me if some review scores were based on wanting to see the long time champ unseated. Personally I doubt it deserves scores as high as it's getting. The question isn't whether or not it's a great game, but rather whether or not it's perfect. When the reviewer cites issues with the gameplay and on-line portions, however minor,...

does the ESRB rating affect sales??

Lord_Yggdrassil said:kingofwale said: God I hope so.I've turned down tons of kids for Halo 3. ;) So? They are still gonna buy it or have someone else buy it for them.Ratings don't effect game sales that much. It's NOTHING like Movies. Most of the best selling games are M, like Halo and GTA  Actually the vast majority of the best selling games are rated T.  There are a few shining...

I very much HATE unisex bathrooms!

in General Discussion on 21 March 2008

The idea doesn't bother me at all. I don't pay attention to other people when I'm in a public bathroom. I do what I need to and leave. As far as cleanliness goes, having worked in a couple restaraunts and having had to clean both restrooms I can honestly say that the women's room was the worst. It also got cleaned about twice as often as the men's. Personally, I find blood on the seat much...

why do you believe todays children have less respect for the mums and dads

in General Discussion on 18 March 2008

No generation is any different than the ones before it. When I was a teenager it was the same as I see teenagers now. When my parents where teenagers it was the same (or so they tell me) as it is now. Every generation gripes about today's kids, but yet it's never really any worse. Isolated incidents are not an indication of the whole. You don't notice the kids who honor, repspect and love...

    Metroid Dread in corruption.

in Nintendo Discussion on 17 March 2008

Well if that were true then the reference in MP3 would be completely meaningless. And actually I was wrong when I said Retro denied it. It was actually Nintendo that said it's not currently in production. That was some months ago, so who knows what's going on now or in the future....

    Metroid Dread in corruption.

in Nintendo Discussion on 17 March 2008

I can find it if necesarry, but Retro has essentially denied that Metroid Dread is in production. They didn't say that it'll never be made though. Who knows for sure what they're up to. Although it was also reported that after MP3 Retro is taking a break from Metroid games. No one knows what Nintendo's plans are for the series right now....

What really is the greatest Mario game ever?

in Gaming Discussion on 16 March 2008

SMB 3 is still the reigning king, but Galaxy comes very close. I hope that they'll go back to SMB 3 someday and realize it in 3D. Not a remake, but rather going back to the style, mechanics and especially the powerups. Hammer suit rocks!...

Will brawl and galaxy sell better WW then halo 3?

in Sales Discussion on 16 March 2008

I think it would be fairer to compare sales of similar, if not same genres. Unfortunately, the Wii doesn't have any FPS' that can even come close to Halo. That being said, I do think both will eventually outsell Halo. As darconi stated, more FPS' will come and steal some of Halo's thunder. SMG and Smash Bros. likely won't even have any real competition within their genres. Particularly on...

Meh, I hit random on the character select about half the time. Keeps me sharp.  The only reason I don't do random for stage select is that I can't stand scrolling stages like rainbow cruise or that new DK one based off of jungle climber, I forget the name.  Mushroomy kingdom is cool though....

John Mccain Won the Republican Nomination. Your thoughts?

in General Discussion on 05 March 2008

HappySqurriel said:I could be wrong, but I don't think the Republicans could have hoped for a better result from the Democrat's primaries. With such a close competition which will (likely) last for months Obhama and Clinton are going to engage in progressively more agressive and divisive politics; certainly, they will attempt to appear like they're just in a friendly competition but a combination...

Is it just me or are girls that like games twice as hot.

in General Discussion on 05 March 2008

A woman who likes the things you like is always more attractive. Even more so when it's something that women usually disdain. Like cars, boxing, football etc.By the way, my wife loves games, cars and plays the guitar. And she's smokin' hot :P....
