Kwaad said: It is a genius system for Nintendo. Instead of buying a 2nd machine from nintendo which costs them money to make, they just send you a refurb, that cost them almost nothing... yet they charged you 150$. Which is CHEAP for you compared to re-buying 500$ of VC games. Will you be pissed at Nintendo? Yes. Did you just pay 150$ for a refurbished machine, when you could buy a new one for 200$? Yes.
Kwaad, this is completely wrong. If your Wii dies (completely - and I mean completely), you lose your save games, and other related info - not the VC titles. Nintendo has on their server information about what VC titles you bought. You send them the broken Wii, they transfer the games to the new Wii. All sounds fair to me? You can't expect Nintendo to allow people to buy multiple Wii's, and just download the same games to other boxes? If/when we get around to upgrading, I doubt there will be a problem. They will probably add a service where you can "unregister" a VC title from one Wii - or transfer it to another one in a similar fashion. I don't see an issue at all???
