I'm just looking at the Dengeki top 50. Of the 40 Switch titles they break down like this.
16 First party
11 Multiplats, ports and remakes
13 Third party exclusives (or console exclusive at least)
There are actually more third party exclusives than non-exclusives on that list, but in North America only 2 of those games have physical versions: Mario & Sonic 2020, and Disney Tsum Tsum. We are actually missing out on a lot of third party content. I know some of those are visual novels and stuff, but there are also games like Fishing Spirits and Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun. I bought my daughter Drum 'n' Fun for Christmas, but I had to import it from the UK. In NA it is digital only which sucks because the drum is the part that really makes the game.
Anyway, it's clear Japanese devs are making exclusive content for Switch are going to continue to do so. I would like to see more of it leave Japan though.
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6
