Amanita Design, the makers of Machinarium and the Samorost series, have released a quirky new adventure game, seemingly without warning. (Surprise! Isn't it nice when a game is just out instead of preceded by four months of trailers?) It's called Pilgrims, it's available now, and having played it this morning I can confirm it's crafted with the same beautifully offbeat art and animation as Amanita's previous games.

Dire Maul, located in the Feralas zone in World of Warcraft, is an ancient, ruined Night Elf city and, in more practical gameplay terms, a major dungeon from back in the day: Wowhead says it's "remembered fondly by most raiders as one of the most important sources for world buffs which used to be key to defeating bosses in raids ... It was one of Blizzard's first divergent dungeons in which alternate paths—such as skipping bosses—were encouraged."

Blizzard unexpectedly just revealed the upcoming 8.3 update for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth in an 18-minute video detailing all of the new features players can look forward to when it launches, presumably, early next year. But of those new features, one is sure to set the community on fire: The fox-like Vulpera are joining the Horde as a playable Allied Race while the less-exciting Mechagnomes team up with the Alliance.

Flutter is a game where you walk in a line, from left to right, so I suppose it doesn't fit neatly into the adventure game label I've laid on it. There are no puzzles, and it lasts 5-10 minutes, but you get a full blast of a dreamy sci-fi story for that brief duration.

Doom Eternal has been delayed until 2020

Doom Eternal won't be hitting its November 22 release date, unfortunately. Developer id Software announced the delay on Twitter, along with a few more changes the team has made.
The new release date is March 20, 2020. id says it needs more time to "live up to our standards of speed and polish".
