https://www.pcgamer.com/rebel-cops-is-a-turn-based-tactical-combat-spinoff-of-this-is-the-police/
The This Is the Police series has followed kind of an unusual trajectory. The original, a strategy-sim about corrupt cops in a small town, had some interesting ideas but didn't really drill down into them; the sequel changed things up with the addition of an XCOM-styled tactical combat simulator. And now developer Weappy is going all-in on the combat side of that equation with a spinoff game called Rebel Cops.

Its first partnership resulted in the excellent Escape Goat 2, and it's also helped deliver Mountain, Gang Beasts, and Gnog. It was set to publish the highly-anticipated fantasy farm life sim Ooblets, until Microsoft's acquisition of Double Fine earlier this year put that plan to rest.

>> And it still managed to get in the top 10. Many people will be angry or disappointed.

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-sims-4-realm-of-magic-goes-all-harry-potter-in-a-new-gameplay-trailer/
Realm Of Magic is the latest expansion for Sims 4, and it’s more than a bit smitten by the shenanigans of Harry Potter.
As you can see in the new trailer above, the expansion has your Sim travelling to another world via a portal. Once you arrive in this realm, your main goal is to become the best spellcaster possible—and if Harold Potter taught us anything, that probably involves introducing your groin to a broomstick for an uncomfortable amount of time.

But there’s no time for pina coladas, there are plenty of new missions that run from the beginning to the end of September that include new targets, unlocks, and missions.

Path of Exile's Blight update is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/path-of-exiles-blight-update-is-out-now/
The latest of Path of Exile's free league updates is called Blight, and it adds tower defense to the action-RPG—a bit like the minigame in The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Tendrils of the fungal Blight lay down paths for enemies to follow, and you'll have to plant towers that fire off elemental effects to exploit their weaknesses. Of course while that's happening you still click on everything until it dies as per usual for the genre.
