My monitor supports up to 165hz, but Ive still got it set to 144hz, which is fine for me.
More frames is always nice, but if the game is going to run locked at 60, or like RAGE 2, where it mostly stays around the 80's, I don't really feel that it's an important factor for me (just as long as it stays above 60 is my main goal).
