NVIDIA and AMD release optimized drivers for Remedy’s supernatural action game, Control

AMD and NVIDIA have released new drivers that are optimized for Remedy’s supernatural action game, Control. Although the green team did not reveal any performance percentages increases, AMD noted that this driver improves performance under the DX11 API.

The new NVIDIA driver fixes the corruption issues on some tracks in Forza Motorsport 7. Furthermore, it resolves the system crash that occurred while installing the drivers on a system with mixed GPUs.

MODS/EMULATORS

First mods for Control add FOV slider and remove Motion Blur in DX11

Remedy’s supernatural action adventure game, Control, has just been released and the first mods for it have just surfaced. These mods bring a FOV slider to it, and remove Motion Blur from its DX11 version.
The FOV mod allows you to increase or decrease the game’s Field of View. This mod supports both DX11 and DX12, and you can download it from here. All you have to do is extract the content to your game’s folder (or desktop) and run “CTRL_FOVChanger” before launching the game. Then, you’ll have to press F1 to increase the FOV or F2 to decrease it.
On the other hand, the Motion Blur removal mod only supports DX11 right now. Once you’ve downloaded the mod from here, you’ll have to extract it to your game’s folder. Then, and while you are in-game, you’ll simply have to press F4 ingame to toggle motion blur on/off. Alternatively, you can edit its .ini file and change “w2=1” to “w2=0” for it to start off by default.

Ubisoft has just revealed the official PC system requirements for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. According to the publisher, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or an Intel Core I5 4460 with 8GB RAM and an AMD Radeon R9 280X or an Nvidia Geforce GTX 960. With these specs, gamers will be able to run the game on Low settings at 1080p.

Disney has just announced, at GameStop Con, that there will be HD remasters for two of our beloved 16-bit games; The Lion King and Aladdin. These two remasters will be bundled together and will come out in October 2019.
