Will wait for the deflective "MS isn't the only company to cancel games, isn't the only company to close studios, isn't the only company to do 180 all the time, etc".

Kinda lost interest in whataboutism and slippery slope as argument tactics on here, there's no point in discussing Star Fox 2 not coming out for the SNES in a thread about the Xbox brand power. I'd rather speak about the things that brand is doing as I was going back and forth with @Chazore in the article about this mod being dropped I was just kinda shocked because there is amazing modders on the PC side of MC who have graphics addons which made the "overly ambitious" one that Mojang were working on look shoddy and yeah... Mojang/Xbox game studios/MS effectively have infinite money and they couldn't reach out to some of that modding community and check them a 6 figure amount to come on board and give them access to Microsoft's hardware and software to build tho fan made add-ons into a "super duper" project if they couldn't do anything over the last 24 months.

Naw... they fire money at other studios instead who are already making games so that those games won't appear on other systems, rather than spending some money on what they already have, ya know.... a game which sold 176m units over all systems. It is without question the largest gaming IP that Microsoft owns and a upgrade for the graphics to that 10 year old title was deemed to not be worth completing. Crazy.

It actually looks playable.

I stick with two different shaders though. I'll be waiting for that RT shaderpack to release for free, once it's more or less finished and out from the Patreon wall.

This is one of my shots from the other day:

(High setting)

(Extreme setting):

(This one is "Sildur's vibrant shaders" high settings shaders):

And even with the high or extreme settings, I'm still able to play this at 1440p and well above 60fps. Optifine is needed for shaders to run, but even then, Optifine itself gives you more options to tweak with and that performance boost (allowing MC to use more RAM, rather than the standard 2gb).

I find myself unable to live without using a shaderpack, mostly because the added lighting/shadows gives me more immersion and depth to the game. Actually exploring caves with a torch in my hand, that actually lights up the way, makes cave exploring both immersive and terrifying at the same time. I can even drop a torch from my inv, and watch it drop down a chasm like dropping a flare down there (and it still stays lit until you pick it up, which is due to an optifine addition).

Optifine also allows me to make trees, plants, vines and crops sway, and the shaderpack makes the water form waves as well.
