As we’ve already reported, the next Need for Speed game will be released later this year. And according to the game’s page on Austrian store Gameware, this new NFS game will be called Need for Speed Heat.

Hoping this is a return to form. Last NFS game I enjoyed was Rivals. I haven't played Payback but I've not heard good things.

IIRC the PC port of Rivals was trash though (Locked to 30fps).
