Let's go with the second part of the Monday news, featuring a lot of info from the Quakecon:

Team Fortress 2's hat market has crashed and rare items are going cheap
https://www.pcgamer.com/team-fortress-2s-hat-market-has-crashed-and-rare-items-are-going-cheap/
An influx of rare items is playing havoc with Team Fortress 2's economy. Unusual quality items are appearing in a high number of crates and the marketplace is starting to be flooded with them, driving down their price. Today, a warning went up on the unofficial Team Fortress 2 subreddit telling players to stop trading items until the glitch is fixed.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood players have already figured out how to get unlimited coins
https://www.pcgamer.com/wolfenstein-youngblood-players-have-already-figured-out-how-to-get-unlimited-coins-without-microtransactions/
Wolfenstein: Youngblood has a collectible in-game currency that can be used to purchase items like character skins, weapon upgrades, pep boosts, and consumables. Some of the skins can also be purchased with gold bars, a premium currency available for separate purchase if you don't feel like waiting for the coins to build up. Or, as redditor Calibrono discovered, you can use a cheat to give yourself an unlimited coins and buy every damn thing in the game before you kill your first Nazi.

If you can't join or invite a friend in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, try making your Steam profile public
https://www.pcgamer.com/wolfenstein-youngblood-cant-join-friend/
When James began working on his Wolfenstein: Youngblood review, I volunteered to be his co-op buddy, but Youngblood refused to believe that he was waiting for me to join his game. "You have no friends you can join that are playing Wolfenstein: Youngblood," it told me.
That awkwardly-worded sentence frustrated me for 20 minutes, because James could see me just fine, but his invites never reached me. Eventually I figured out that to fix the problem, I had to change my Steam profile privacy settings from 'Friends Only' to 'Public.' After that, my friends list showed up in-game just fine.

RAW developers call Kickstarter 'unprofessional,' plan an IndieGoGo campaign next
https://www.pcgamer.com/raw-developers-call-kickstarter-unprofessional-plan-an-indiegogo-campaign-next/
On July 15th, a day before its Kickstarter campaign would have closed with $191,429 pledged (over double its asked-for funding), GTA Online-like sandbox game RAW's campaign was suspended.
RAW had broken Kickstarter's 'honesty and transparency' requirements by writing in a project FAQ that the game could not be completed with the money asked for during the campaign and would require additional funds later. The developers are now headed to IndieGoGo, a funding platform with fewer restrictions, to raise the $300,000 they think it will take to release RAW in early access.
>> It looks to me that they're the unprofessionals, not Kickstarter,

Re:Legend, the monster farming sim-JRPG, is coming to Steam at the end of August
https://www.pcgamer.com/relegend-the-monster-farming-sim-jrpg-is-coming-to-steam-at-the-end-of-august/
Re:Legend is a "sim JRPG" inspired by games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, except that instead of raising crops and farm animals, you're taming and raising monsters known as Magnus. It enjoyed a tremendously successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017 and then connected with publisher 505 Games for a planned Steam Early Access release in 2018.

It's been in Early Access since April, and is now slated to come out of Early Access on August 27. https://www.pcgamer.com/dota-underlords-is-getting-separate-ranked-and-casual-modes/
Players who want a low-stress way to play autobattler Dota Underlords without risking their precious rank will soon be able to do that, as it's getting separate casual and ranked modes in the next update. As Valve's blog post puts it, with tongue firmly in cheek, "we've made the ground-breaking design decision to have two ways of playing".

Fallout 76 private servers are 'coming sooner than you think'
https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76-private-servers-are-coming-sooner-than-you-think/
There's always been a laundry list of requests from the Fallout 76 community—features and systems that players would like to see added to the game. A few of these requests were addressed during the Fallout 76 roundtable at QuakeCon 2019 today. Perhaps the most notable was a question about private servers for Fallout 76, which Bethesda originally said would be added to the game sometime after launch.
Private servers will be coming "in the near future" said development director Chris Mayer during the roundtable.

https://www.pcgamer.com/morgantown-map-coming-soon-for-fallout-76-nuclear-winter/
At the Fallout 76 roundtable at QuakeCon today, a new map was announced for Nuclear Winter—Fallout 76's battle royale mode, which is currently in beta. The new map will feature the Morgantown area, which includes locations like the Morgantown Airport and Vault-Tec University. It's also the location of the tallest point in Appalachia, which could add a bit more verticality to the BR mode.

https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76-raids-begin-august-20/
Raids will arrive in Fallout 76 on August 20, we learned during a panel discussion at QuakeCon today. These raids are designed for 4-player teams and will take place in Vault 94. A second raid in a different Vault is being developed as well and will arrive "in the not too distant future," though there isn't a concrete date set.

https://www.pcgamer.com/doom-eternals-multiplayer-battlemode-will-feature-6-maps-and-5-playable-demons-at-launch/
Doom Eternal releases on November 22, which isn't all that far off. To whet our appetites during the QuakeCon keynote today, we were given got a closer look at Doom Eternal's multiplayer Battlemode, which pits one player as the Slayer against two player-controlled demons.

New Doom Eternal enemy the Doom Hunter revealed at QuakeCon
https://www.pcgamer.com/new-doom-eternal-enemy-the-doom-hunter-revealed-at-quakecon/
This is apparently The Year of Doom (make your own topical joke here), and that means QuakeCon 2019 is heavily Doom-flavored. We've already learned all about Doom Eternal's multiplayer battlemode, which which pits one player as the Slayer against two player-controlled demons.
Speaking of demons, here's a new one, which debuted via the above video at QuakeCon. The Doom Hunter is a hybrid of fiend and machine created specifically to hunt the Doom Slayer. So, you know, good luck with that. With its bull horns, missile launcher, glowing blade arm, skullface gun, and apparently a jet-powered butthole, the Doom Hunter is a pretty fearsome monster. But obviously it's going to get ripped to bits in a lovingly detailed takedown animation.

Doom Eternal has a hub where you'll see how Doomguy 'spends his free time'
https://www.pcgamer.com/doom-eternal-will-have-a-hub-where-youll-see-how-doomguy-spends-his-free-time/
At the Doom Eternal panel at QuakeCon today, we got to watch creative director Hugo Martin play part of the game, which was followed by questions from the Slayers Club (the official Doom fan club). A question about the source of Doomguy's incredible strength was asked, which naturally led to a discussion about the Slayer's workout routine and whether or not he spends a lot of time at the gym.

40K first-person shooter Fire Warrior comes to GOG
https://www.pcgamer.com/40k-first-person-shooter-fire-warrior-comes-to-gog/
Fire Warrior was far from the best Warhammer 40,000 game when it came out in 2003, but Kuju's shooter did have a few things going for it. For one, it's a rare 40K game entirely focused on playing a non-human faction, the anime-inspired tau. The first time you face a space marine as an opponent, eight-foot tall and power-armored, is pretty memorable. The other thing in its favor is an intro narrated by Tom Baker—if you've ever wanted to hear one of the better actors to star in Doctor Who saying "It is the 41st millennium, and there is only war" click on that video up there.

Dicey Dungeons, a new game from the creator of Super Hexagon, has a release date
https://www.pcgamer.com/dicey-dungeons-a-new-game-from-the-creator-of-super-hexagon-has-a-release-date/
You may know indie designer Terry Cavanagh for his bastard-hard antigravity platformer VVVVVV, or you may have cursed his name while playing the twitch-reflex avoid-em-up Super Hexagon. Either way, he's a designer worth watching.
His latest game is Dicey Dungeons, in which heroes have been transformed into cute walking dice by Lady Luck, then trapped in her mutating dungeon full of monsters. It plays kind of like a cross between Yahtzee and Tharsis.

Fortnite Season 10 teaser suggests a return to the way things used to be
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-season-10-teaser-suggest-a-return-to-the-way-things-used-to-be/
During the Fortnite World Cup viewers were treated to a brief teaser of the forthcoming Season 10, which will begin on August 1. That teaser was an image of Dusty Depot, a location from way back in the beginnings of Fortnite—it was the first Point of Interest on the map to be altered, having a meteor hit it and create Dusty Divot.

Terraform a planet in free, minimalist crafting game Lonely Rover
https://www.pcgamer.com/terraform-a-planet-in-free-minimalist-crafting-game-lonely-rover/
When we finally get around to settling on other planets, we're probably going to want to lean heavily on robots, with humans being annoyingly reliant on things like oxygen, water, and company. As a rover dispatched to an empty world, to make it habitable for people, you don't have to worry about breathing, or keeping hydrated, although the game's title suggests you might be lonely in your mission, which is a bit depressing.
In Lonely rover, a top-down gathering and crafting game, you do have to worry about your energy, which ticks down relentlessly while you roam about on the planet's surface, gathering minerals and metals and gases and whatnot. These elements are resplendent, almost overwhelmingly so, thanks to a regular procession of meteorites, which endanger your very life as you explore. (Humans might want to watch out for those when they eventually rock up.)
