Shit happens, you just got a defective unit from the sounds of it. Even with the best of products from any company every once in a while. Relax and just get a replacement.

I give this thread a 9.3.

Is there anyway to eject the disc??? My MGS4 is still in the drive too!!! DAMMIT!! Shoulda just upgraded my computer ...

Do a google search.  I'm sure there is some way.  Might also try asking over at the Sony PS3 forums.  Relax man, I know you are pissed but sometimes defective products just happen.  The PS3 isn't particularly known for a high failure rate, however, every electronic device made has a failure rate.  No company pulls a 0%.  Just get a replacement.

I give that post a 9.5.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.
