I've been married for a year now and absolutely nothing has changed compared to the previous seven years we spent together.
Thus it makes me think that it doesn't have aynthing to do with marriage. However, maintaining a relationship is hard.

Met my wife in 2014 and got married in 2016 after a year of living together. Maybe nothing really changed but psychologically, there's this feeling that "you can't just breakup" if something goes wrong. You feel more trapped. Not to mention people seeing how happy you are and wanting to either ruin the relationship or be part of the relationship (if you know what I mean).

But the good far outweighs the bad. A good marriage is like hanging out with your closest friend who also touches your penis. Can't see myself ever being single again, even though I'm in the doghouse a couple of times a year for no apparent reason.

I'm listening.
