The current Switch doesn't have the ability to do that, the port is not fast enough.
And battery consumption would be off set by using a more efficient chip and newer battery. A 12nm chip, for example, could run at higher clocks and do a lot more for the same power draw and at the same or lower temperatures.
Also, widening the gap between handheld and docked would be somewhat ill advised.
