It's official names is Nintendo " Un Switch" Switch version that cannot Switch into docking mode, It's the same like Nintendo 2DS basically, a 3DS version that cannot do 3D. it's just Nintendo being Nintendo.
Actually i prefer this device compared to Nintendo Switch, since i got Vita, PSP and Gameboy Advance vibe esque from it's design and focus on pure handled powerhouse with no gimmick . This lite version just shows and confirm that Switch is really a handheld device since day one. Because by spec wise it is a handled . Even though it can upscale and connect to TV it's just a handled with a function to play on the monitor.
I think like it already , but i just wished they include at least the rumble feature with gyro and accelerometer. I do love how they are now replace the d-pad with real D- Pad because now it cannot detach , and only function as solely for d-pad. The batteries though it's not that different only increase 1 hours, i want at least 4/5 to 9 hours battery life, since it focus for mobile only. everything else is good and decent looking forward for this.
EDIT: I think one for sure, Nintendo Officially kill the 3DS/2DS family. Welcome the new handled king by default
