Yeah, you'll pretty much need new rig, but I'd say wait for it, we're still far off from next gen consoles, there will be both new CPU/GPU launches and price cuts on older stuff in next year and a half.
That said, you might want to consider just upgrading your GPU until then with something like GTX1060 or RX 580.
