The only new first party games they announced were bleeding edge and flight simulator. I think that's why most people are disappointed. Expectations were high for this e3, and MS hyping the show up as their biggest ever didn't help the matter. It's not that we already knew about "some" of them. We knew about all of them except bleeding edge and flight simulator, and a good chunk of them are games that are already out. Some of the best things they showed.

I was expecting a Fable announcement didn't get it. I was expecting Halo Gameplay, didn't get it. I was expecting at least one big surprise, didn't get it.

It was a good show, it just wasn't a good XBOX show. Outer Worlds trailer was a highlight, that's a multi-plat game.

New Game Announcements:

Bleeding Edge (Eh, don't expect this to be big or well liked)
Flight Simulator (I mean it's good for what it is, but most people don't care.)

That’s cool and people are entitled to their opinions, but personally I won’t fault MS for others unrealistic expectations. If this were E3 2020, most of these points would hold more weight. But there’s still a whole ‘nother E3 before their next gen launch, that’s where you can expect announcements on new games from most of these studios, and gameplay to boot.

Games take years to make, and now you throw in a change in corporate ownership for these studios, and next gen hardware. What exactly are they supposed to show? Of course it’s going to be stuff we already know about. To hope for or to expect otherwise is just setting yourself up to be disappointed.

They showed plenty of good stuff. I don’t care if we already knew about some of it. And what did they show for stuff already out besides two of their games? Maybe I’m missing something but the Forza expansion, State of Decay expansion, wasn’t that it for stuff already out? Please correct me if I’m wrong. 2 out of 14 is a “good chunk”? You’re really going to say the Heartland SoD2 expansion was as good as Outer Worlds or Ori or Minecraft Dungeons, among others? Yikes if so.

"You’re really going to say the Heartland SoD2 expansion was as good as Outer Worlds or Ori or Minecraft Dungeons" - Er not sure what gave you that impression, no I don't put the state of decay dlc anywhere near any of those three games. It's worth nothing that 2 of those three games are launching on other consoles.

But as far as I can tell here's the 14 first party games they showed:

1. Ori
2. Battletoads
3. Halo Infinite
4. Gears 5
5. State of Decay 2
6. Bleeding Edge
7. Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition
8. Forza Horizon 4
9. FLIGHT SIMULATOR
10. Psychonauts 2 (guess this counts as they announced they bought them)
11. Gears Funko
12. The Outer Worlds
13. Minecraft Dungeons
14. Halo MCC??? (wasn't really shown they just mentioned REACH coming out on PC.)

So 4 out of 14 or 28% (State of Decay 2, Forza, Gears Funko, Halo MCC), whether you class over a quarter as a "good chunk" well it's not exactly a hard science. It's also possible Halo MCC isn't one of them and I've missed something but can't think of what.

But yeah you're entitled to your opinion, as are everyone else and the general consensus seems to be disappointment. I thought I'd look up what crapgamer was saying for shits and giggles and even him and his goons are disappointed.

It was a 6 or 7/10 show for me, mainly because it didn't drag, other than perhaps the 1 minute section where we had to stare at a face because gears. But it wasn't a show to sell Xbox Consoles.

Edit: Just looked it up and Gears Pop isn't out? Someone on here told me they'd been playing it but I think perhaps it's just in beta, dunno.
