I was hoping they would do something like this quite some time ago, but I started to think we would be seeing the same visual style for a long time, even into the 9th generation.

It's this kind of graphics I'd kinda wish FF went for, all out graphics like SquEnix are doing for FF15 and 7R and no doubt 16 is great and all but this delays development. We once had 7, 8, 9 and 10 within like 4 years of each other. Now we've had 2 in a decade and I only bought one.
