When someone replies that way, you should try to do the same in your reply to them. If you disagree with their reasoning, or find that it doesn't adequately support their argument, explain why. Rather than just saying "you don't want to come to terms with".
More like your second paragraph, which may be a fair point to bring up.

Sorry, but my patience for it had run out. Several pages of "they're spin-offs because they don't have numbers in the titles" has worn me thin on the topic.

Except that was NEVER my reasoning. I never once said that. I said the non-numbered ones are spinoffs, not that they're spinoffs because of the lack of a number. They're spinoffs regardless of that, but it wouldn't make sense for them to be numbered, because they're spinoffs. I will concede that BBS could credibly be called KH0, but the numbering was always beside the point.
