The Wii has been marketed to be a new thing. But, light guns, power pads, power gloves, eye toys have been around for a while.

Maybe there will be something in the future that will make me want to get a Wii. Right now, there isn't. I found Zelda much better on the Gamecube. I bought a Wii for SSB, but realized I can play it at my friends' places. Metroid Prime 3 actually worked pretty well - I'll give it that.

So far, there is not much reason for me to like the Wii. Maybe that will change. I disliked the Xbox last gen because it was all about Halo (which I have no interest) and games that make their way to PC. I ended up liking the 360 because more of the jRPGs are on it.

For the DS (which I own), World Ends With You was actually the first game I found to impress me with the way the stylus was used. It was mainly an FF-remake machine before that.

Maybe there will be something on the Wii to impress me, but it hasn't happened yet.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
