I agree about hypocrisy, but Democrats are equally guilty as Republicans of backing not just Saudi Arabia, that besides bombing Yemen, funds terrorists under the table, but also Pakistan, double agent too on terrorism, and Turkey, that always counted on alliance with USA to keep on trampling on Kurds' and Armenians' rights (and this is not just immoral, but also masochistic for USA, as an independent Kurdistan and a larger independent Armenia could have helped a lot to stabilise Middle East and weaken fundamentalism, actually even letting just Iraqi Kurdistan become independent could have kept Saddam under control without another war that actually ended up strengthening fundamentalism and destabilising the whole region, but Turkey didn't like even that for fear it could trigger Turkish Kurds too, and USA offered its ass at 90° to the Turkish diktat).
