There were only 100 graduate roles but thousands of graduates competing for the limited positions. Why would I bother when the odds are stacked against me? I bet on short priced favourites in horse races and select favourite in sports bets. I only play when the odds are short and the chances of winning are more likely than losing. Getting employment is like a lottery, low odds of getting any job. Getting rejected from menial jobs was the last straw and put me off looking for work. It was an insult that i could not say no to the cleaning, factory, dishwashing job, retail or fast food job that I would never show up to do.

Some people walk straight into their dream job right after completing university by pure luck. Hard work is not enough to get a job in what you want to do. There are millions of starving people in Africa and Asia that work hard and struggle to survive. Anyone can work hard if they are given the opportunity to work. Being given the opportunity is the only thing that matters. Anyone can work most jobs if given the opportunity to work. Being in the right place at the right time to get the job and knowing the right people to pull the strings.

The recruiter agencies ask so many questions and I refused to provide my details and just walked out and never returned. Why would I give details about all my employment/education history and references? They even asked for bank details just to register with stupid agency and with no job even offered. I refused to provide details and believed it was a scam and I did not sign anything. They have no right to ask so many questions that I do not want to answer that could be sold onto third parties like being robocalled 24/7.
