Ok I just spoke to a friend in Perth at 1:30AM in the morning my time.

He is willing to talk to you (i.e. take time out of his busy schedule), in person (his family runs a security company) and tell you what qualification you need to get to get a security license. Said it is about $800 all up.

Wants to have an informal interview to see what kind of character you are and drive you have before he makes up his mind on whether you should do the course or not and whether he is willing to employ you.

I do not want to work as a security guard. No way am I paying $800 for a security guard course.  I have no motivation to work as a security guard, it is not a job that interests me and is not my dream job. I am a Business School graduate and a Commerce degree was not enough to secure me a job that I wanted to do and interested me.

A security guard position for an intellectually disabled person with limited social skills and can not read body language or facial cues would not be able to cope with the job. My limitations severely restrict what jobs I am capable of doing.

One of my friends who is an electrical engineer worked as a security guard for 4years.

He went into the graduate program for 3 years as an engineer then moved QLD to be closer to his wife's family as he had a couple kids. In that time he decided to go study his Masters and therefore he worked part time at night as a security guard. Once he got his masters, he then started looking for work. Eventually he landed at Volvo as an electrical engineer.

The point I am making is you have to start somewhere. You say you have no work history and no skills and that you need work reference etc. Without any you will never get your dream dream. Plus think about it security companies work for many organisations, who knows what opportunities they can lead you? Build your networks.

A dream job is just that a bloody dream job. There is no job out there that will ever meet the expectations of a dream.

You could have skipped all this drama when you graduated. But no you chose the easy way out. Oh the top 4 companies won't have me therefore my degree is useless. You said you didn't even bother applying for the graduate positions, so how do you know they wouldn't even accept you lol? Another assumption.

Well it has been 10 years and nothing has changed for you have to start somewhere, anywhere, build some reputation up of being a hard worker.

At the end of the day living in Australia you know you don't have to try. Admit it you love being a dole bludger, as long as you have enough money to live off some sort of life it is easier to blame everyone else. If you were in Eastern Europe you be either dead right now or collecting dog shit off the ground to get enough money just to eat. They don't fuck around with indefinite handouts.
