I don't see the issue here. Development started before they had kits. So they focused on what they could. Pc, ps4 and xbox. The game was highly rated and looks to be a sales success. They made the right choice. Their company is at an all time high financially thanks mainly to games sold on the ps4, xbox and pc.
If it's doable within a reasonably budget I'm sure they'll figure out a version that runs on the switch. Can't blame them for encouraging switch owners to support another game of theirs.
Now I'm sure games they've started developing last year or this year the switch will be considered from day 1.
