I think e3 will be a great platform to showcase what Microsoft and Nintendo have been Cooking!
Hopefully Nintendo can show more surprises and perhaps dont just showcase games coming "soon". Because so far they do not have a Big Hype game this year that is coming late 2019 that can allow them to spend 20minutes talking about it.

No, no, no, no, no, no. N-O-!

The fact that Breath of the Wild and Smash were relied on so heavily during their respective E3s was a bad thing. Sure those games went on to sell well, and it arguably worked very well for Zelda. But with a game lineup as rich and diverse as that of this year, you don't need to spend 20 minutes on a specific game that some people may or may not like to sell consoles. Instead, you can focus on a multitude of system sellers all at once!

If Nintendo were to do this anyways, it's obvious which game it'd be. Pokemon is GameFreak so they'll probably have their own direct, and Animal Crossing is way bigger than Luigi's Mansion, so it would be that (assuming they do this again).

Oh please let us finally see what it is!!

Did you guys miss the last direct? Or the Pokemon direct? ... We don't need more this year, we already have Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Super Mario Maker 2, Astral Chain, Link's Awakening, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Yoshi's Crafted World, Daemon x Machina, Dragon Quest 11, and a few smaller titles.

The reason that they "lack" a game they can focus on nearly exclusively is because they have a lot of big games already. Not because they've yet to announce them.
