Tuesday news, part two:

Neill Blomkamp hints at involvement with Anthem
https://www.pcgamer.com/neill-blomkamp-hints-at-involvement-with-anthem/
District 9 director Neill Blomkamp has certainly been making the rounds recently. Just last week we reported that he visited Creative Assembly's studio for a look at their new but so-far-unannounced FPS game and now it seems he has some involvement in Anthem, if a tweet this afternoon is anything to go by.

Apex Legends could soon get Solo and Duos modes
https://www.pcgamer.com/apex-legends-could-soon-get-solo-and-duos-modes/
Respawn's surprise hit battle royale Apex Legends only supports play in squads of three, which is a little unusual given that the other big-name games in the genre—Fortnite, PUBG, Blackout—offer solo and duo play as well as squads. But if the information dug up by Fortnite dataminer ShiinaBR (who is apparently now branching into Apex Legends) is correct, solo and duo modes are on the way to Apex, too.

Rainbow Six Siege's Australian map is a ramshackle service station on a lonely highway

Ubisoft confirmed late last week that Rainbow Six Siege year 4 season 1, Operation Burnt Shrimp on the Barbie, will take the team to the Australian outback. Now we've got our first look at the new map, "an homage to all the dusty service stations and motels that populate the forgotten highways of the continent, places filled with hardworking locals and specialty menu items you’ll find nowhere else."

Paradox may be teasing a new Vampire: The Masquerade game with a dating app ARG
https://www.pcgamer.com/paradox-vampire-the-masquerade-ARG/
There's a new dating app that appears to take the term 'thirsty' quite literally. It's called Tender, a "soulmate algorithm", and seeing as how its powered by Paradox Interactive (you can even sign in with an existing Paradox account) it's probably not really trying to set you up on a date. Considering the rather bloody nature of the app's announcement video, the fact that it asks your blood type before inviting you to match with sick people near you, and that Paradox owns White Wolf Publishing (which filed an interesting trademark just last year), this smells a lot like an ARG for a new Vampire: The Masquerade game. Maybe.

Try a demo for The Textorcist, the bullet hell typing tutor freelance exorcism game
https://www.pcgamer.com/try-a-demo-for-the-textorcist-the-bullet-hell-typing-tutor-freelance-exorcism-game/
The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia is a game that blends bullet hell action with high-speed typing in a weird tale about an exorcist-for-hire working the streets of a gritty, crime-ridden city in the 1990s. And you're not sure about that admittedly odd mix of genres, maybe you should take a minute to try out the free demo that's now available on Steam and GOG.

Bioware says 'we're definitely not done with Mass Effect'
https://www.pcgamer.com/bioware-says-were-definitely-not-done-with-mass-effect/
In a studio profile on Polygon, Anthem's executive producer Mike Darrah and general manager Casey Hudson suggest that Bioware still has faith in the Mass Effect series after Andromeda underwhelmed fans in 2017.

Peter Molyneux's new management sim lets you stick a gun on a skateboard and sell it

In Peter Molyneux's latest game, you can design a skateboard-gun hybrid and then build a business out of it. Inspired by Molyneux's very first game, Entrepreneur, Legacy will let you go from tinkering in a shed to to running an industrial powerhouse. You split time between managing the business and flexing your creative muscles in the workshop.
