Well Switch is their unified platform, and Mario Odyssey and Mario 3D World are very different kind of games, one is focused on exploration and single player, while other is multiplayer focused game with more smaller but tight designed levels, so yeah Odyssey and 3D World could be easily be on same platform.
I deffinatly expecting Mario 3D World port for Switch, only case where I dont see Nintendo dont port game to Switch is if they working on Mario 3D World 2.
