Im honestly beyond shocked that smash is beating out monster hunter. Monster Hunter had many people predicting doom and gloom. Then the game managed to not only sell well, but also was on track to become the best selling capcom game ever. Monster Hunter finally broke through in the West.
While Smash was guaranteed to be a huge success.
