I was going to joke Turbografx 16, but you beat me to mentioning it. I never played the system, but my older sister always sung its praises.
OT, I gotta give it to the Gamecube. Sure, it has a lot of love now, but that is more akin to a cult following. The love over time is not really descriptive of how lackluster it performed in its own generation. Yet it had some of the greatest games of its time. The library wasn't as deep as PS2's (I owned a PS2 as well so I can't deny how many good games it had), but GCN's best were better than PS2's and XBOX (owned that too, and Halo 2 was a personal favorite that I probably played more than any other game that gen).
Short story is that generation of gaming was masterful.
