EDF 5 has some disappointing technical hangups, to be sure. I often find that EDF 5 runs worse on PS4 Pro than EDF 4.1 did on the original PS4 in terms of frame rate. Which is saying something. Something not good. The level of detail on far away enemies is also noticeably worse, with poor animations, textures, and polygon count much more obvious than in any prior EDF game, even the Vita entries. Texture pop-in is poor at the beginning of each stage, and is even prevalent in the character select screen. The overall texture quality is improved, there are weather effects like snow and rain, the latter of which is the wettest ever in an EDF game, in terms of water......Cough...... and some absolutely crazy stages run almost inexplicably well. It's not BAD per se. I'm missing some stuff, but, it's just disappointing on some levels. Still very good overall. If I think about a game as I'm falling asleep, I like it a lot.
