He is doing the best Donald Trump can do for Americans, and so far that has been a lot more than we have seen from any President in my 30 years. I don't deal much in the big cities, but in the factories I visit, the people on the floor are very happy right now with his performance. I work in Manufacturing, and this is easily the most unified I have ever seen people on the floor be about a president. We have a lot of first generation Americans from all over europe and asia, and many of them are very supportive of his policies, and agree with his views on immigration.

The only thing I am not 100% on board with is his progress in the LBGTQ community. I don't think he has done massive harm, but his push to stop transgender people from serving our country does not sit well with me. This is one area I give Obama high praise for.

I think President Trump is exactly what America needed right now. Someone that will stop giving away our country, and fight for the working class. Not someone that is looking to sell off jobs, and build live off the government programs. I honestly don't see him as a Democrat or a Republican. I see him as Donald Trump, and I hope that can lead to future Presidents and Politicians that make their own decisions, and don't walk the party line. IMO, the Dems and Reps have been destroying this country, and driving its people apart. We needed someone to break their grasp, and hopefully build a path to bringing us together as a more United States of America. So, Trump having high approval ratings is great news in my book.

Yeah, he's definitely not a Republican at least in the traditional sense, the same way Bernie wasn't really a Democrat but mainly just ran under the party name for a chance to be elected (one only need look at how much he's hated by most republicans like McCain, shit it's even more than a lot of Dems hate for him). Unfortunately for Bernie though, the Dem's weren't having the subversion and barred him from having a real shot thanks mainly to the superdeleagtes, while the Republicans were able to be infiltrated. If anything Trump is closet to a Tea Party or Constitutionalist president, which, as a Libertarian, I have some overlap with, so I can at least respect Trump in certain areas.

I definitely agree about his harm in barring Trans from the military, that's pure discrimination plain and simple, and his excuse for doing it is laughable.

Trump to me is not far removed from a third party candidate gaining the presidency, which I have a soft spot for as I despise the two party duopoly. I just wish we could have had a true outsider face-off in Bernie vs Trump, rather than Clinton vs Trump.
