it's great that a game that took 5 years to make managed to escalate a console to sell more than the Wii for an unknown length of timebut Sqrl was right to state that Sony have achieved more than that.
They've created demand for their 80GB console and proved that the playstation bread and butter titles are still alive and kicking with GT5P giving a gentle reminder GT5's still around, Resistance, Killzone 2 media, GTA4 and MGS4.
The Wii is still picking up momentum though and it's only from here on we'll see Nintendo get a little help from third parties. The truth though is there's two console gaming markets this gen and most of "us people" realise this and already own more than one console.
