What issues come with Denuvo that you want to avoid it?

Offline functionality. Planet Coaster came with Denuvo, and I discovered after not having a net connection for two weeks, that the game refused to allow me to play it due to the DRM wanting to connect to the server, even though I had played the game mere days before I lost my internet connection. I launched Steam in offline mode and I was able to play all the other games I had in my library.

I'm not the type that goes tinfoil and thinks it hampers performance (though people have cited VRM protect that Ubi used with Creed Origins as hampering performance, but not Denuvo), but I have noticed that it can prevent offline play. I find the idea of that DRM to be slight against those wanting to play their games offline, especially against Steam's offline mode.

I just wish they wouldn't slap that DRM onto their games, because to me it effectively makes them online only based.
