I'm fully expecting them to re-introduce the same exact model a few months from now with 2 changes:
- On top of relying on luck for getting Star Cards, you can now just buy them using credits (and a lot at that)
- Customization items for characters and guns in loot boxes
I'm betting that loot boxes will still contain Star Cards.
