Back in October, we informed you about a fan Texture Pack for Batman: Arkham Asylum. Created by GPUnity, this pack improved a lot of the game’s textures. However, GPUnity has been also working on a texture pack for Arkham City. And yesterday, the modder released a brand new version of it.

Like Chris, I enjoy checking in on prolific GTA 5 modder JulioNIB from time to time to see what he's been up to. Last week, he uploaded a Dragon Ball work-in-progress mod that lets players fly, teleport, and Ki Blast their way around Los Santos to great effect.

EA and DICE have announced that they have made changes to crates and progression based on player’s feedback. According to the press release, the beta gave the team a chance to test all of its systems in action and tune things up for better balance. As such, Epic Star Cards, the highest tier of Star Cards available at launch, have been removed from Crates.

 

FIFA 18 update 3 is now available, further improves goalkeepers

EA Sports has released a brand new update for its latest soccer game, FIFA 18. According to the release notes, this patch makes ground passes and ground through passes less effective when blindly passing the ball between 90 and 270 degrees. In addition, this patch further improves goalkeepers.

During its Q3 2017 investor conference, Electronic Arts revealed that Titanfall 2 has sold well. Even though the game did not meet EA’s original expectations, it still sold very well. Square Enix has revealed the official World of Final Fantasy PC requirements. According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need a 64-bit operating system and an Intel Core i3 CPU at 2.0Ghz. 4GB of RAM are listed as minimum, alongside an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB or a Radeon HD 5770 GPU.

 

Ubisoft claims that Assassin’s Creed Origins’ protection does not have any perceptible effect on performance

A couple of days ago, we informed you about a Assassin’s Creed Origins rumour, suggesting that its protection system was causing performance issues. As it we reported, Ubisoft has used VMProtect over Denuvo, resulting in a lot of additional calls. However, Ubisoft claims that the game’s protection system does not have any perceptible effect on its performance.

Epic Games has announced that the Fortnite patch 1.8.1 will come out tomorrow, featuring various optimization and performance improvements. According to the release notes, the Fortnite patch 1.8.1 improves point light shadow rendering performance on both consoles and PC.

Box Hedge Games has announced that it is working on a genuine 2D action-platformer reminiscent of video games from the late 80’s and early 90’s, called Super Mighty Power Man. According to the press release, Super Mighty Power Man will be like games found on the NES console when fun was more than QTE, lengthy tutorials, and never-ending cinematics.

KOEI Tecmo and Team Ninja have released an official trailer for the PC version of Nioh: Complete Edition. Nioh takes place in Japan and players assume the role of a traveller. Assassin’s Creed Origins first patch improves stability & performance, brings numerous gameplay fixes

Ubisoft has just released the first patch for Assassin’s Creed Origins. This patch will update your game’s version to 1.03, and is 1.35Gb in size. According to the release notes, this patch improves stability and performance, so we’ll be sure to re-test the game.
