Might be a regional issue. I am actually surprised many times how pleasant and respectful my nephew and his friends are. Generally quiet and well spoken teenagers that are smarter than most adults I know.
I have noticed people in general sometimes play obnoxiously loud music in automobiles. Found no correlation in the drivers, just seems to be something random people do (bad hearing?).
