I'm a huge Dragonball fan, watched everything, and yeah, GT wasn't terrible but was obviously lacking from the original and Z
I watched the first 15 episodes of Super and I was very disappointed, more or less what you said
awful plot (where is the amazing Frieza saga action and suspense), the god concept really sucks, Frieza return was a bad joke for one of the best villains of all time, beloved characters that once mattered and had an impact on the story left to dust etc...
and I was thinking that I'd probably get back to it at some point not to betray one of my favorite series in a hope that it gets better later on, but yeah, my fears have just been confirmed :/
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
