But couldn't you just spin this with the US population percent VS one countries percent. It would not look good either. US is 3rd on population. So they would have a higher death/murder rate from crimes VS other countries. Except for China and India. Now if someone got death/murder rate for China. And the US beats those places. Than that's more telling. Like what areas did they compare it to? Do these places have a simliar population count to Chicago?

No, they wouldn't. Murder rate is not the same as murder numbers. The US has a higher murder rate than Sweden.
