There's still a difference between 'this was great when it came out, but standards have risen,' like Goldeneye, and 'what the heck were we thinking giving this game a good review in the first place,' like how almost everyone started looking at Perferct Dark Zero pretty quickly after its release.

Of Course, always (even today) it can be said that some game received better scores than deserves, or that some received weaker than deserves, but that really doesn't change anything beacuse we can say that for curent games also or future.
