Well we don't know what the development costs were in total for porting the game to PC. Obviously they must feel they are on the right track of performance and delta revenue, since they are verry happy.
Also the pc gaming market is nearly as big as the console market, based on revenue from SuperData analysis. So it can't come as a surprise really, when you base it on the number of PC gamers out there, and take a percentage who would potentially buy Bayonetta. There obviously must be someone who buys a game. No matter the age of the game. Also action games like Bayonetta are on of the most commercially attractive submarkets in gaming.
