And what country in the world is responsible for the most advancement in medical care? the US

The biggest problems with US healthcare are the wrong regulations, and lack of competitiveness among health insurers. Followed up by Americans using more medicine than is needed since they watch commercials that tell them they need prescription drugs

What good is having the most advanced medical care if no one can afford to use it?
Most of your medical breakthroughs end up stuck behind red tape, silly patents, corporate greed.
Even Genes are patented so competitors can't use it, stifling innovation. It's retarded and stupid.

With that, other countries have contributed significantly to medical research, my own country Australia for instance made some big breakthroughs with Penicillian, Cancer Research, Bionic Ear etc'.
And we have the most amount of Nobel laureates per capita in the world.

We punch above our weight with medical research on a per-capita basis, Have better healthcare. Cheaper Healthcare. Healthcare that is more widely available.
You can stop with the excuses for your medical system that simply hasn't worked, the statistics don't lie.

Most countries with Universal Health Care systems place a cost cap on most drugs, companies are free to compete under that cap. That keeps costs in control.
In the USA, despite having a less regulated industry with a presumably higher degree of competition... Some drugs continiously increase in price, even with multiple competitors. One company sets a higher price and the rest tends to follow... In an ideal marketplace, the opposite should occur, prices should decrease with time.

The USA needs to look at other countries with highly rated systems and take the good points of those.
Having a universal health system would be a good step to ensure everyone has access to Healthcare, hostpitals shouldn't be private entities. - Contrary to popular belief, it will not result in higher prices, worst quality care, less investment or less innovation. - Examples all around the world have proven that.
