Now, let's go to business: the news!

In this first post I'll make a quick summary of several things that happened during the last two weeks that I wasn't able, for one reason or another, to make this section.

DRIVERS

Both AMD ad Nvidia released new graphics drivers.

+AMD launched their Crimson ReLive Edition 17.1.2, optimized for Conan Exiles & Ghost Recon Wildlands. Also, Bethesda may have slipped some details, namely name and VRAM, about AMD's VEGA.

+Meanwhile, Nvidia launched the 378.57 Hotfix, and then the 376.80 Vulkan drivers. And talking about Nvidia, they have announced a measure that has proven... controversial: bundled game codes can no longer be sold or given away. Of course, this won't be a problem for many but, specially for those buying two cards for SLI, it's another pain in the ass from Nvidia.

MODS/EMULATORS

Only 3 bits that I've seen:

FREE GAMES!

Because we all like free stuff, right?

There's a fan-made 2.5D Mega Man game, and for those that prefer "real" retail products and have GOG, they can get the point & click Cayne also for nothing.

PC REQUIREMENTS

Some games have revealed their system requirements.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 http://www.dsogaming.com/news/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-official-pc-requirements-revealed/

Dauntless (a Monster Hunter like game) http://www.dsogaming.com/news/pc-system-requirements-revealed-for-pc-exclusive-co-op-action-rpg-inspired-by-monster-hunter-dauntless/

SALES/FUNDED GAMES

Yep, we've also got sales numbers of some titles

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has been funded in less than 24 hours

Banner Saga 3 – Kickstarter campaign hits its funding goal in a week

Rainbow Six: Siege has 13 million registered players, has 3.9 million weekly players

Epic Games’ free-to-play third-person MOBA game, Paragon, has 5.7 million registered players

Civilization VI has sold 1.5 million copies, Mafia 3 shipped 5 million copies, GTA V shipped 75 million copies

Conan Exiles has sold 320K copies & is profitable one week after release, modding tools available now (does this have something to do with the ability to set the size of a certain part?)

MISCELLANEA

Some other news, starting with something that happened with Conan Exiles:

It turns out that some pirates leaked Conan Exiles with the Denuvo DRM removed, something that the guys behind that hated software didn't like, and shortly after announced that they had modified its program to avoid this to happen again (at least for a while).

Also, Windows 10 – Game mode was launched and tested, and it offers nothing. At least, fans of the OS can feel better knowing that Gears of War 4 now offers crossplay between Xbox One & PC and that Sniper Elite 4 will support DirectX 12.

Something that we all will love to hear is that Psychonauts 2 has found a publisher, tho it will launch in 2018. At least that will give us time to finish Vampyr & Call of Cthulhu, that will release a bit before in Q4 2017.

Lastly, we have the director of FF XV saying that he would like the game to launch on PC, that there's an official HD texture pack for Fallout 4 that weights 58GB (and does very little, so it's better to wait for a mod solution), that Overwatch has been updated, again, and... oh, yes, another developer that promises that their next game will be better optimized on the PC than the last one, this time it's Slightly Mad Studios with Project Cars 2. We'll see if they deliver or not.

And well, that's it (mostly). Now, the new news.
