Isn`t the price practically the same? If you`re just comparing your CAD price to the USD price then it would look off, but CAD aren`t worth as much as USD so it`s probably around the same in terms of actual price.

this. its a click baity dramatic thread. Most of the users around here are probably using the US Dollar or the Euro so it seems dramatic when he says "it'll cost 800", but the Canadian dollar trades at 3/4 of the US dollar and even less when compared with the Euro.

essentially he just confirming that, yes, with an extra controller and a game (or a few games and a random other accessory, however you want to pick) the Switch will end up being like 500$ US Dollars. Not exactly newsworthy, same thing for any new consoles that are releasing at 300$ or more dollars.

The real question is whether the OP is trolling to try and rile people or if they're simple oblivious to exchange rates. Just because it will TECHNICALLY cost you more Canadian dollars does not mean you really are paying much more (if more at all) than US consumers. As far as potential tax rates in Canada or fees- well that has nothing to do with Nintendo and is your own domestic decision as a country
