I think most people vocal about their disappointment with the PS4 Pro are either people who weren't considering it no matter what, or the usual [elitist] PC gamers who will downplay anything console related no matter what (and in most case with the exception of Nintendo consoles, for some reason).

Personally, I will be getting the PS4 Pro. My regular PS4 will go into my son's room, and the Pro will take its place in the living room. In december, I am getting a 4K TV, and it's only then that I will be able to say if there's any disappointment to be had with this new console. I still think the enhancements to games running on 1080p TVs are welcome, especially supersampling, but until I have actual hands on with the system, I cannot say if the lack of native 4K compared to the techniques the Pro uses to achieve picture quality close to 4K will end up being such a big deal to me.

I think most people in here should stop basing everything on the specs numbers and wait to see the actual games speak for themselves. Most people complaining do it based on the specs, or on streaming footage. Although the benefits of HDR will be difficult to acknowledge without seeing it in effect first hand, the rest of the improvements can be seen right away by looking at high resolution pictures or high quality 4k videos.
