This is pretty much my definition as well. You can't measure a fad by how well the general populace grabs onto it. You measure it by how long you stay with it.

I have Wii Fit. And it's fun. I really enjoy it. But I also am very realistic about things, and I figure within about 2 months, it'll be sitting on the shelf waiting for something new. That's a fad. Fad diets aren't necessarily the most popular ones at the time, it just means a diet you don't stick to. So yes, I'm calling my brand new Wii Fit a Wii Fad.

But what's your point, when you basically say that in your opinion, every games are fad, especially the blockbusters.

So it just validates that Wii Fit is a fad and a videogame like every other videogame. Thus, there's no point in even talking about it, and especially no point in putting the finger on Wii Fit, when every videogame is the same.
