afaik Halo 5 is the single largest title this gen, right? I blame it on all those free map packs and game modes. If they were paid DLC, presumably you wouldn't have to download it until you bought it, but now they just toss it all at you.
I experienced something similar with DOOM, albeit on PC. I booted the game up for some afternoon fun only to be greeted by a 12GB patch. Yeah, I didn't get to play that day.
