The real test will be the drop-off come winter. Can the game survive when it's pouring with rain and snow and the ground is covered in ice?

Especially after 6 months when peoples interest may already be waning, the changing weather may be the thing to push them over the edge.

But at the Moment Pokemon Go is still doing exceptionally well.

Do you realize this game was actually released on winter in Australia?

Yes... that was release though, people are more likely to ignore bad weather in favour of Joining a newly emerging global cultural phenomenon...

When the Northern Hemisphere enters winter there's no doubt that there will be a drop off from players, players who have so far have had excellent weather to go out and enjoy the game. Once winter hits activity will go down, the question isn't "if" it's by how much.
